Bull Shoals Lake enjoys a wide reputation for lunker bass fishing. Scrappy largemouth, spotted and white bass abound in the lake along with crappie, channel cat, bream and walleye. People come to Bull Shoals Lake throughout the year to test their skill and luck. The lake seldom freezes so there are no closed fishing seasons. Fishing is enhanced in early spring by the walleye and white bass run in the upper reaches, and in the summer, night fishing for trout, white bass and crappie is growing in popularity. |

Below the Dam in the cold of the White River live the pole bending rainbow and brown trout. Trout fishing was once enjoyed only in northern streams , but the release of cold water from the bottom of Bull Shoals Lake creates a favorable temperature for trout in the river. The trout appear to be larger than thier northern kin. A federal trout hatchery in the area assures continuos stocking of the river. |
